Heart Blockages by Bruce Isaacson

Bruce Isaacson was the first Poet Laureate of Clark County, Nevada, a community of two million souls that encompasses Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Strip. He earned degrees from Claremont McKenna, Dartmouth, and Brooklyn College where he wrote a thesis for noted American poet Allen Ginsberg. He is a founder of Zeitgeist Press (over 100 titles) and Poetry Promise, a 501c3 which runs literary programs in Clark County. He is known in New York as a finalist in the inaugural Nuyorican Poetry Slam. In San Francisco, he was associated with the Cafe Babar reading, part of the raucous 1980s Spoken Word resurgence.
